Interested in meeting some new friends over a few beers? Need a relaxing evening after a long day at work? You've come to the right place.

This group is designed to get people together in a casual, relaxed setting. We will have regular happy hours at restaurants and bars around Orlando. This is the group that gets together earlier in the evening for some drinks & relaxation and maybe a quick bite to eat, leaving your later evening free to go to other late-night events, or to go home and relax the rest of the evening. It is not uncommon for our event to end with several people formulating plans to extend their evening fun doing something else, or for people to head to another Meetup event that is occuring later at night.

Not a drinker? Don't let that stop you from joining. Many of our members do not drink alcohol - just a soda and an appetizer and some good company are enough to make for a great time!

Please note: I will never charge you a fee for joining this group, as many other group organizers have begun to do. Yes, it costs me an ongoing fee to keep this group active, but it's my choice to do it. I am not going to pass that fee along. What I do ask of you, however, is that you keep your RSVP's current. If you RSVP "yes" for an event but later find you cannot make it, please change your RSVP to "no" so we are not expecting you. We understand that emergencies come up, but after 3 "no-shows," members may be removed from the group.  The only other requirement is that all new members have a recent photo of themselves on their profile.  This is so that we (the organizers) can recognize you when you attend an event. If you have an issue (security, job, etc) that prevents you from publicizing a photo, you can privately email one to the organizer, just contact us through the group page.

Please note that we are strictly a social group. Members who join with the intention of using the group to promote their own businesses or personal interests will be removed from the group. I'm sorry that I actually have to state that, but we've been bombarded lately with instances of people attempting to use the group to increase traffic/revenue/publicity for their own businesses. Also, I will not send out irrelevant emails.  I get requests all the time to promote businesses, events, etc.  Anyone reading this group description who may be considering asking me to do so, I will not.  The only emails that our members will get from me or any of our organizers relate directly to this group.  Please do not expect me to solicit my group for singles events, charity events, business networking events or promotional events.  We are strictly a social group, and we just want people to come and make friends.  I myself have made so many amazing friends, and any connection over and above that is up to the individual members.
