My main work is in iPhone apps. But I always get something from tech presentations.

Hi. Liked your provocative post. I am doing a Meetup on the subject of Was Civilization a Mistake? Did we fall into History?
on Sun Mar 10 which you might enjoy, and could certainly contribute to. It's under d rubric of the Orlando Thinkers Discussion (http://www.meetup.com/Orlando-Thinker...![]()
)
Welcome to Agile-Lean Coffee Orlando Amanda!
Amanda welcome to The Eccentricity Club~! Come join us tonite at Rolando's~!
Hi Amanda! Thanks for joining the group. I hope you'll be able to make it out a meetup soon. :)
Hi Amanda, Are you saying that if you hit the home button, the preference is stored properly, but if you just quit the simulator, then the value does not get stored? I think when the simulator quits, it does not seem to notify the iOS running within. It just quits.
On a real device, you would press the home key to leave an app and return to the launcher. That notifies the app of quitting or going background. Data is written then. Otherwise, call "synchronize" to force writing.
FLMUG now meets at ScanDesign, first Tuesday of each month, 7:30. 999 Douglas Avenue, Altamonte Springs. This is Dom Salfi's Business and Legal SIG, or "MacLegal."
Welcome to the group Amanda.
No, won't be at the meeting. I'm headed to Tampa to see Little Feat. But I will be at the Altamonte Chapel Saturday for the Appleseeds sig. I can have a power supply with me then if you want to show up.
Amanda, Why do you need an Apple power supply when the one you use works or is that the point, the non apple is broke? I have one of each that I can bring to Thursday meeting if you are going to be there.
Amanda, I am a little confused, is it a powerbook or a macbook? Powerbooks do not have magnetic power supplies. Macbooks on up do. So, is it one that plugs in and lights up in a circle around or one that has a small dot on either side?
