Hey, all. In the spirit of collaboration, I thought I'd drop a note about some of the OTHER great tech user groups meeting in Orlando in the near future:
Orlando Tech usually meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month (technically the same Thursday as our meeting), but this month on Feb 27th at Cheyenne Saloon. Each Month they have 3 to 5 different web product companies out to demo the product they've built to the live audience in just 5 minutes, then the audience has 5 minutes to ask questions and give real-time feedback to the companies. If you're interested in presenting, fill out the application to demo here!
Agile Orlando is a meetup for Agile practitioners in and around Central Florida to learn about a variety of Agile topics (Scrum, XP, Lean) and discuss how they can be applied to real world scenarios. To join the discussion about which topics to cover visit their GetSatisfaction site: http://getsatisfaction.com/agile_orlando They also host regular Lean Coffee sessions on Friday mornings, and the next regular event is on Feb 27th at Kony.
Orlando Data Science welcomes anyone who's interested in data science to join the group, as well as individuals in related fields where data science is applied. Web development, defense, hospital administration, education, marketing, hospitality, and law are all experiencing "big data revolutions" and data science is more important than ever.
Finally, check out the Kickstarter for Starter Studio: Second Class. They're trying to raise $10k to cover expenses for another round of startups in Orlando. Support the home team!
Remember, if you don't come to THIS group this month, please go to a group! Get out there and participate! Thanks,
David @ OrlandoPython.org
