Weeki Wachee River Paddling Trip

Join us on Sun Jan 5th 2014 for a day of paddling with the manatees on the Weeki Wachee River. We'll paddle up river from Bayport Park, through the marsh of palm trees and into the Weeki Wachee River. After playing with manatees at Hospital Hole, we'll stop along the river for lunch before heading back.

Guides and Lunch included. $20/own kayak or $50/rental kayak.

Many trips fill up several weeks in advance so don’t wait till the Friday before to sign up or we may not have any spaces left.) Times, dates, location subject to change. Confirm before trip.

What to Bring. Plenty to Drink, water shoes, sun screen, Hat, Bug repellent, snack, waterproof flashlight (at night), towel, change of clothes and shoes, Dry Bag, Sunglasses with lanyard, Appropriate clothes for conditions (bathing suit or light weight fast drying sun protective clothes when warm; Fleece, wool, or other layers of cold weather paddling gear when cold.) (Don't wear blue jeans or cotton t-shirts when on the water when it’s cold: they dry very slowly and will make you colder when wet or damp.)

    What a great outing today at Weeki Wachee with the Osprey kayak team. Special thanks to Dimitri for assisting many folks unloading and loading their kayaks ! Great folks and great food and great job at leading the 19 kayaks around and we saw several manatee...beautiful day!! Look forward to paddling with this group again.
