Book and a Movie -World War Z!

Let's go to the movies!

Brad Pitt faces a horde of nameless, soulless, killing machines from different corners of the world...and that's just on the way out of his own home! Seriously though, join me for a viewing of this new zombie movie that is not really based on the book at all and afterwards we will go to Red Brick Station for drinks and to discuss how much better the book, or the new unabridged audio book, is.

The geek trivia thing Ben was talking about has a ZOMBIE category tomorrow night. I'm going, is anyone else in?

I saw this too. I really wanna try it out but I can't tonight. I've been to that bar a few times. It's pretty cool. Let me know how it goes.

I think I'm going to bail tonight too. I worked yesterday and so I have not gotten laundry, grocery shopping, etc done for the week yet. I don't want to go a week without clean laundry, I am not that much a geek! I will sign up for that group though and maybe we can all go soon.

    Few last minute notes:

    1. I will be near the fountain near Tilted Kilt and Red Brick Station, I am wearing jeans and a blue and white polo striped polo today.

    2. The movie(non-IMAX or 3D) starts at 7:45, I will wait until 7:30 until I go inside.

    3. Please, PLEASE let me know by text if you are not coming at[masked]

    Audiobook question:
Audible lists a couple versions of the audiobook version. One is completely unabridged (http://www.audible.com/pd/ref=sr_1_3?asin=B00A6VQGOW&qid=1371913460&sr=1-3), but doesn't have the voice actors discussed the other day. The other one is slightly abridged (http://www.audible.com/pd/ref=sr_1_1?asin=B00BIKAVHS&qid=1371913460&sr=1-1), but does. Any suggestions?

If you're listening to the same version as me, the celebs show up. Alan Alda is particularly noticeable as the head of the reconstruction agency, as is Masi Oka in the unfortunately meh story of the otaku kid and Rene Auberjonis as the French resistance fighter fellow. However, I think the material is strong enough that any good voice actor could have carried it pretty well.

Just passed the Alan Alda section....the depth of detail, and the wide-scope of the theater of action always amazes, probably why this is the only book I have re-read four times!

The actual movie start time is 7:45 PM, just so you all know.

I doubt I'll find time to read the book by then, but I'm stoked on seeing the movie. Lmk if anyone wants to carpool from Baltimore City.

You might be surprised, it is HARD to put down. The first time I burned through it in 3 days.
