Gaming Night!

Join us for an evening of gaming!  Every Friday at 6 pm we'll be hosting a Board Game Night where you can come and play.

Let's go for a murder mystery theme this week!

Both Master Detective Clue and Alibi are 3-10 player games that are fairly similar; it's just that Clue is a board game, while Alibi is a card game.  Great games for larger numbers of people, and both fairly easy to learn if you've never played.

Alternatively, with fewer people we might try Android.  Set in the future, every player takes on the role of an investigator with their own back story and personal "baggage" to deal with.  Solve the mystery, uncover the conspiracy, and deal with your own private life.  This game only supports 3-5 players, however, and has a steep learning curve, so we'll see who all shows up when!

Otherwise, we always welcome people bringing their own selections as options.  Nothing is ever set in stone!

Oh, yeah! Remind me next week; I'll see what I can pull out. It may not be pretty, though...

Awesome! Those both sound great. Thanks for helping to flesh out the options.

If we have a larger attendance like we did last Friday, I'll probably bring Resistance and maybe Rex: Final Days of an Empire this Friday. If you haven't played Resistance, it's a social deduction/bluffing game for 5-10 players. Most of the players will be in the Resistance, trying to overthrow the ruling corporations/government, while a few of the players will be Spies, attempting to undermine the missions of the Resistance. The first to win 3 out of 5 missions wins the game. Will the Resistance members deduce who the Spies are before the clock runs out, or will the Spies successfully infiltrate the ranks and thwart the uprising? ... Rex: Final Days of an Empire is a re-theme of the old Dune game, set in the Twilight Imperium universe, in which 3-6 players vie for control of Mecatol City during the final days of the Lazax Empire. The game features negotiation, betrayal and warfare, and each race brings their own special power to the bargaining table.
