Just around the corner (if you stand at the intersection you can see the Masonic Lodge and our store--it's that close!) at the historic Edmonds Masonic Lodge our friend Roger Barnstead teaches Olympic-style fencing every Sunday.
He provides equipment and instruction, though I've suggested since he needs new equipment he probably ought to start asking for donations to the fund.
The Lodge is a neat building, and he'll gladly show you around--it used to be the opera house, with a livery stable underneath! Because of the enormous cost of heating the old building, they dropped the ceiling in the ballroom during a generally unfortunate remodel, but the upper balcony can still be accessed. There's also a very neat ceremony room with the old burgundy velvet seats from the Opera house.
