VEG FEST is an Ottawa tradition for foodies, vegetarians and vegans, and veg-curious alike. This year marks the fifth annual VEG FEST, continuing the fine tradition set out by Veg Fest’s founders. Great food from Ottawa's best vegetarian restaurant will be available.
YOGA FEST is an entirely new event for the National Capital Region which has become a yoga hotbed ... and is long overdue. Local yoga enthusiasts have envied yoga festivals in other Canadian cities, and now finally have an event to call their own: the first annual YOGA FEST. Bring your yoga mat and join in the various classes offered.
Admission by Donation
Instead of an admission fee that creates a barrier to some people, admission will be by cash donation. You may give as much as you are able to. Funds collected will be donated to two deserving groups (National Capital Vegetarian Association and Prevent Cancer Now)
The Speakers Series . . . and a Film
For years, Ottawa Veg Fest was well known for its excellent speaker series. This year is no different. Our line up of speakers includes some well-known local heroes and some informative speakers from Montréal and Toronto. And we'll close the Fest with a showing of a "must-see" film. See below for details. All speakers' presentations and the film will take place in the Saint Paul University Amphitheatre (a two minute walk from the rest of VEG FEST and YOGA FEST activities.
Yoga Classes, Demonstrations . . . and More
The first annual Ottawa YOGA FEST will include a number of yoga classes and demonstrations showcasing the talents of local yogis and others. All of these activities will take place in the Demonstrations Tent. Those wishing to participate should bring a yoga mat with them.
