Check out Ottawa Cultural-Social if you're relatively new to Ottawa-Gatineau and interested in exploring the local arts & entertainment, cultural and multicultural scene while meeting friendly people.

Events include: live theatre; movies (international, independent or mainstream); art gallery crawls; multicultural festivals; museum visits; comedy shows and poetry slams; lectures and presentations; live music of all types; members' poetry nights, book nights, and discussion nights; other cultural events; and sushi nights. We often go to a pub or cafe afterwards. As well, we have restaurant nights and other social events with members you've met on our cultural events. 

Your ideas and involvement are important. Feel free to make event suggestions.  For example, if there's something you want to go to and you don't see it on our events board, we can post it as an event so that you can rally other Ottawa Cultural-Social people to come along.  Just let us know! (Ideally, let us know a week or more in advance so that more people have enough notice to react, plan, rsvp and attend.) 

But please, no business-promotion postings!  This is a non-commercial group.

Although most of our members are new to Ottawa-Gatineau, you're welcome to join this group even if you aren't new to the region.
