WW2 saw women moving into 'traditional' male jobs for the first time and we've never looked back. With my personal preference for strong women, I thought a Rosie the Riverter theme would be fun and an ideal theme for my first organized meetup.

Teresa Burd will be modelling a fine collection of power tools for us and we'll be at Mike G's studio.

It'll be a small group of 2 additional shooters to make sure we have lots of time with Teresa and different props.

The fee is $50 per person to cover the modelling/studio costs.

Teresa our wonderful model:

Hagen had this well organized with tons of props - 1st shoot with Teresa - certainly not my last. She lives the part. Well done.

And thanks to Mike for for filling in with ideas when my mind blanked. And Teresa definitely is getting more work from me too. Pix tomorrow.

This concept is so awesome. I will not attend, but hey, very interesting idea. I am the one doing all the power tools at home. This is so what's going on today, women doing the baking in the kitchen plus also going outside to build the deck, repair the fence and fixing doors.

For all those interested, I've started planning for this one. So keep your eyes on this space (model meet up).

Sounds like fun, it will be worth the walk home.

Yes, my wife has a painting class on Thursdays so I "let" her drive me where I wish to go then walk home. It's not far,and I'm country born and bread so I know how to walk... :)

OK - but if it's yucky - just shout and we can see if someone is going your way
