About the presentation:

Landing pages are an essential component of any effective inbound marketing strategy.  Well-optimized landing pages allow you to take the prospects that you attract to your website and convert them into leads.  Investing your time into developing well-designed and optimized landing pages is important because it can be your marketing strategy for generating leads for your business.  I would like to walk you through the basics of landing pages creation and best practices that will have you effectively converting site traffic into leads.

About the speaker:

Osamu Wakabayashi (that's me) graduated from the University of Hakodate, Japan, BA, Honours in Commerce, in 1994. As a marketing consultant and web designer, he has worked with businesses, governments and nonprofits to promote a more sustainable world.  He owns a design/training company focussing on "smart, bold and enduring visual identity and communications" with emphasis on simplicity and which aims to create visual media components that will communicate to best effect.  He also provides workshops with from small business owners to enterprise companies at Invest Ottawa.

    To the gentlemen who spoke after Osamu about looking for a way to allow front end access for his server side products. Ruby on Rails, Cake PHP, Django on Python would all be good open source frameworks to build the kind of solution you are looking for.
