Hi Everyone,

Hope all is well and spring feels like it is only around the corner.

Please note that our next monthly meeting will be held on next Tuesday, February 28th at 6:30pm at Code Factory, 246 Queen St.  It is a week away, so I would like to send an outline of the agenda as follows:

Meeting Agenda for February 28th, 2012

a) News and Reviews: If you have any software, books, blog, web tool that useful to this group for Web Design, Graphic Design, Mobile, UI/X or anything related to that matters, please send them to me.

b) Break and Networking time

c) Presentation:

5 Things Web Developers Need to Know About SEO by Jackson Lo

Jackson Lo will take the stage to talk about why developers/designers need to think SEO (search engine optimization) in their work. Not only is the search landscape evolving, but the way that we code, design and write for the web is changing too.

About Jackson Lo

Jackson Lo is an SEO consultant at Cardinal Path, working out of the Ottawa office. His talk will cover a number of items that any web marketer, developer or designer could take to their drawing boards and create value for their clients. Jackson goes on to say; "Search engine optimization is an art. Like many other things you do online for your business, if you are not doing SEO for yourself or for your clients, you are doing no good for anyone."

d) Peer Review of Design/Interface Submissions: We will take design submissions from the group and give it a usability and design critique ending with a list of suggestions.  If you have designs for us to review, please send URLs to me.

If you have nay questions or suggestions to the agenda, please feel free to let me know.  I hope to see you all next week.  Have a nice week.
