Our next meeting is scheduled on Tuesday, June 26th at 6:30pm, at the Code Factory. Officially, summer begins today. So after the presentation session (Q&A, etc), we will go to a pub for social/networking session. Here is the agenda for next meetup.

2) Presentation: Bridging the gap between usability and security
This presentation will go over some examples that show the gap between security and usability briefly. Then we will point out some of the best practices and tips in designing usable yet secure registration pages using live examples.
About the presenters:
Christine Mekhail is a User Experience Designer at Software Secured and has guided the design and usability launch of several online products including the company's Patch++ product; an online app that helps software engineers adopt secure coding principles. Her focus at Software Secured is on creating and integrating usable security measures and performing usability testing for the security controls of new online applications. Christine has a BFA and an MFA within the field of communication and design with a specialty in usability and security.
Sherif Koussa is OWASP Ottawa Chapter Leader, SANS Steering Committee Member for GSSP-Java and GSSP-NET. He is also the founder and principal consultant at, Software Secured. Sherif helps private and public organizations prevent data breaches and reduce the risk of web attacksby using vigorous testing techniques to uncover vulnerabilities and help software organizations remediate them. Before starting Software Secured, Sherif worked as software developer, technical and project lead for 9 years, and created software for Fortune 500 companies.
