1) Announcements and Introductions
We’ll mention any announcements briefly, and then go around the room and introduce ourselves and what we’re working on. This will be a good way to break the ice, and get to know each other a little.
2) Live (remote) talk by Jeff Casimir
This month, the amazing Jeff Casimir will be giving a remote talk (via Skype) on Internationalization and Localization!
Here's the synopsis:
== Internationalization & Localization ==
It's one of those features that we put off far into the future: "we'll internationalize when everything is done." Like when it exits "beta"? Riiight -- just after you rewrite your test suite and document all your code!
There's no reason to be scared of I18n in Rails, and it's easy to start using it early in your process. Let's take a look at how it works, strategies / patterns for success, and how it actually *improves* your Ruby.
So come on out and learn how to make your Rails app better with I18n!
3) Break / Food and Networking
Yes, we feed you (courtesy of Shopify). Eat, drink, meet some Rubyists! :)
4) Lightning Talks!
After the break, we'll have a Lightning Talk by Cam Stevenson on Windows Azure with Ruby. Here's the outline:
- A quick intro to the new, open Azure
- Ruby & Azure with waz-storage
- Tips & Tricks
Note: We're looking for one or two Lightning Talk speakers for this month. In case you don't know, a lightning talk is a short 7-10 minute talk on a topic of interest. Post a message below or email an organizer if you're interested / would like to learn more.

We hope to see you there!
