Mars Exploration Lecture @MoF

The Museum of Flight is hosting a special lecture on Mars exploration with Chris Voorhees of Planetary Resources this Friday -- sounds interesting, anybody game?

From their site:
Please join us on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 7:00-8:00pm for a special space exploration lecture featuring Chris Voorhees, Vice President of Spacecraft Development at Planetary Resources, Inc.  Mr. Voorhees was the Chief Mechanical Engineer for NASA's Curiosity Rovers Science Laboratory and he will be discussing the amazing successes of the Curiosity rover as well as challenges Mars poses for both robotic and human explorers.  He also will be providing insights on his current job at Planetary Resources, which hopes to mine asteroids within the next decade and this lecture will be followed up by a short Q&A panel discussion that will include several space professionals.

The lecture was so interesting -- I learned a lot about asteroids! Four stars instead of five because the location within the museum wasn't clear, so we had to run over to the Space Gallery from the main campus at the last minute. But -- it was great to see you all and I hope everyone enjoyed it!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
