On Friday evening, March 14, OP.LYNX invites you to network amid the riches of Chelsea’s Rubin Museum of Art, free! The Rubin’s K2 Lounge welcomes OP.LYNX Members and friends with two-for-one drinks from 6 to 7 p.m. and remains open to tempt you until 10 p.m.
Though this mixer is designed primarily for women, of course everyone is welcome!
Join the complimentary guided tour at 7 p.m. or ascend the museum’s dramatic spiral staircase to art-filled galleries on your own. Take note of “Masterworks: Jewels of the Collection”, exploring major strands in the development of Himalayan art, covering a period of over 1,000 years, and presents some regional artistic traditions in their broad cultural, geographic, historical, and stylistic contexts. After that, sample “From India East,” sculptures on loan from the Asian art collection of the Brooklyn Museum that trace the development of Buddhist and Hindu sculpture to its roots in the art of ancient India. Or visit “Gateway to Himalayan Art,” which includes the Rubin Museum’s Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room.
