Book clubbers and others are most welcome to join us at Tom's for a cookie exchange and appetizers... if you can't bring cookies just come with a healthy snack. :) Email me before 1pm if you want details. Kirsten take care of yourself.

    Hello all,

Happy winter! In spite of the upbeat greeting, I am sick again this morning. I'm dreading the job of shoveling my family and me out later when the snow finally stops. I won't cancel this meetup, but I have to be honest and say I will not be able to attend and host. If the two of you decide to meet, that would be fine. So sorry...we'll have to do it again sometime. K.

    Hi Kirsten!
I am feeling heathy, have not yet been scheduled to work (although I have a hunch I'll get called in), and I can walk to Java Train if need be. My main problem is that I'm only 75 pages into the book at this point! Keep me updated, hope you are feeling better soon,
    Anne

    Hi Anne, Jed and John,

Just want to tell you that I'm still planning on meeting you all tomorrow for this first book club meeting. That said, I'm finding myself smack dab in the middle of fighting a virus. Even with a flu shot last month, I guess I'm not 100% immune. In fact, I'm going to rest for a few hours after I write this. Please update your RSVP by noon tomorrow so we can decide whether to keep this meeting or whether to cancel or reschedule. Thanks again.

I was a member of a book club that recently closed, so I thought, why not get something going with this great group! What are your favorite genres?

I like non fiction but don't care for fiction. I like geography, travel, and history books. I also enjoy autobiographies.

Kirsten and all - I love books, no kidding! I would like to be part of this group, but probably have to wait for round #2 to meet all of you. I injured my knee and had an MRI today - don't think I will be mobile enough on 12/9. But I am definitely IN on this book club. Right now I'm reading 11/22/63 (Stephe King re: JFK assassination) and a book called Wild Trees..............Happy Holidays to you guys.

How close are you to the Como Park neighborhood near Como School? I only ask because my parents live in that neighborhood, I attend a monthly beer sampling party in that area and at least one or two of the ladies in that beer sampling group also belong to a monthly book club. Just seeing if I can help you possibly make some new connections. :)

I don't like to dance either - I'm not even that good. But I keep getting dragged out anyway because I like to have fun. :) About a block north of Como Elementary.

And I think those who dance with me should have even more fun than me. :)

Hi Kirsten, Great idea! I look forward to attending this. Besides having read this book a few years ago, I have a B.A. in geography!

Great! Hopefully we can convince a third person to RSVP so that we can actually announce this. It would be nice to have a larger group.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
