Book group with a difference

To give everyone plenty of time to read the book we will meet on the first Friday of every month, but only schedule a book every two months. Every other meeting will be to see an Arthouse or foreign film. May is a 'book' month and the book we will be chatting about is David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas.

Please post suggestions for future films and books.

Not all meets will be at my house, but assume for the moment that this one will be.

Lovely friendly host and made to feel most welcome. Looking forward to the next one and attending this on a regular basis as everyone seemed keen to make this work.

As per Lee's recommendation above, The Intouchables is a brilliant film, very funny and touching.

Though I have not read the book I would like to come to see what you are going to read next

Angela, it might be better to join us next time, when you've read the book. I'll post details of July's book next weekend. June is film month, so you are welcome to come along to that too. The group is fluid, so don't worry. Oh, and if you have any suggestions for the next book do post them here!

Hello. I've not been to a book club before have always wanted to give it a go.

A few films you may find worth a watch from the last six months are: Amour (won all the Film awards) Intouchables , A Royal Affair.
All got mainly good reviews but with foreign films tastes can be very different.

If I start reading now, I may just finish this in time!

These dates aren't working out well for me :-( 3rd May is an inset day at my boy's school so we're going away for a long weekend. Hope you all have a great evening. I'll catch up with you in June.
