It would be hard to find each other (never been, but I hear Target First Saturdays is crowded), so let's meet for the Curator talk at 6pm for Behind Closed Doors: Art in the Spanish American Home, 1492–1898. The NY times gave quite an enticing review and you the Curator talk can only highlight the stories behind the pieces.
Let's at least all meet at the Curator talk to see who is here! (even if you don't plan to join the talk ... otherwise, do join the evening but we may not know you are here) ... when you arrive ask for the curator talk that starts at 6pm.
After this very formal introduction of the exhibit, we will of course join the festivities ... dance, art, crafts, music, ... you name it. The list is too long to tell you what is happening at Target First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum .... http://www.brooklynmuseum.org/visit/first_saturdays.php
At the Brooklyn Museum's Target First Saturdays, thousands of visitors enjoy free programs of art and entertainment each month, from 5 to 11 p.m. All evening long, the Museum Café serves a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, and beverages, and a cash bar offers wine and beer.
