Rafting planning meeting @ Chautauqua Park Boulder

It is important for a trip like this that we all get together and go over the details. If you plan on coming rafting or would like just to learn more before you commit then come to this meeting. I need you all to know that you should have awerness of water dangers. Just becuae this is mainly a float trip things can happen. We will talk more about that at this meeting. Also, please have children that are good listeners because it is dangerous if they are not paying attention to you. I don't want to scare any of you because these things a rare but can occur. I just want people to know the potential especially with young children. We will meet up for a short hike and then have a picnic near the park. The kids can play while we all go over details. Lets meet a the Ranger station.

We will talk about the river, distance, day's on, camping location, equipment, who will share with who and cost. Please bring a list of questions that you would like to get covered as well. Please be there!!

We are pulling out of Parker right now, 8:30am, & only by an act of God. So we should make it to the trailhead by 9:30ish.

We're not going to be able to make it after all. We had a long night with a teething kiddo, so we'll be laying low today. Can someone please take notes and pass on the info for us please?

Ok, didn't think so many kids slept late:) My son is alway's up by 6am so I just assumed all families were. I should have planned it a little later for most of you. No worries. We will be there with Ryder's strider bike playing around on the trailswho ever is able to make it on time.

Well, my son just woke up so we can probably make it. I had a late night last night, which made a late night for the kiddos.

Thanks Ana for giving Jason directions. Let's meet on the trail in front of the ranger station. There are a few climbing rock right between the ranger station and rocks. We will probably hike an hour or so. Then we can go to the playground in the same area and have a picnic in the grass and talk. [masked]

I too may not make the hike, but will definitely be there for the meeting/picnic. Kids HATE getting up early!

I think we will be at the picnic area by 11 maybe earlier depending on the kids. If you are running a little late text me and we can wait for you.

Patricia, can you provide some directions on where we are meeting? Maybe an address so I can google it or use a GPS?

When & where should we meet you if we can't make it for the hike? We're going to try, but not sure if we can get up and rolling early enough.
