    Good Afternoon folks,

The camping trip is STILL ON!

Those that are canoeing can meet at Reeds Canoe at 9:45. I believe Jason, MWill and Sherri have RSVP. The official Outdoor Afro camping activity will began around 1pm. I will be at the campsite by noon the latest. As we know weather is unpredictable. We have been monitoring it and the percentage of precipitation continues to change. If weather becomes difficult to manage as a group we can make it a day trip and just enjoy activities and have lunch.

If you are planning to come, please ensure that I have your contact number; otherwise, please change your RSVP"

Everyone that is going camping (even if we have to reschedule) please bring balls of dryer lint wrapped in wax paper it will help keep our fires going. I saved up a six inch ball of lint for the trip. If you have lint but no wax paper bring your lint and we will wrap it on site. (this works in grills and smokers too)

    2 · October 2, 2013

The news is predicting heavy rain and possible thunder on Saturday. This is not safe canoeing and is something to be considered -considering the unpredictable flow of the river, lets not take chances period! Lets think safety for all. Sunday is slated to be clear. Everyone can break out into group activities then. Lets be one accord on this one.

      1 · October 3, 2013

How is the government shut down going to affect this?

    1 · October 2, 2013

    Hey Folks!

Saturday Potluck list is looking mighty tasty! I left Sunday open for folks to bring their own meals. But we still have time to plan a group meal if y'all want to go in that direction. Cece came up with a wish list of items for breakfast. Another suggestion is for those that have not sign up for Saturday potluck, you can signup for Sunday's breakfast. We will have pots, oil, seasoning, stove to make this happen

    Thoughts?

    Trip sign-up sheet explanation

Each tab on the spreadsheet is a sign up sheet. There are 8 tabs. Two of the tabs, participants and daily schedules, do not worry about. The remaining six tabs (Carpool, Tent groups, Group supplies, personal supplies, materials to share and meal responsibility) are for you to view and fill out if needed. So if you are able to provide carpool, go to the carpool tab, click or double click and enter your name under the driver area. If you need transportation click or double click under the passenger column. You can follow this process for the other tabs.

    September 20, 2013

    • Viva

Carpool tab: If you can provide carpool or need carpool

Tent group: If you can provide a tent or need a tent

Group supplies: If you can provide items in bold or miscellaneous items.

Personal items: Are a list of items to consider bringing on the trip.

Materials to share: Are equipment and other items members are sharing. You can signup to use/share items.

Meal responsibility: List what item you are bringing for Saturday night potluck.

FYI: I was able to access and fill out the spreadsheet without logging into my gmail account.
