This was so much fun. It was rather nostalgic for me to re-learn how to work a map with a compass. I cannot wait until the next one!

Cliff, I don't have access to a printer, by any chance will you bring copies of the waiver? And, what's a finger key?

    Hello OA family,
This Sunday will be extremely accelerating, no pun intended. However, there are multiple things to keep in mind to bring to the event; 1. bring the OA waiver
    2. bring plenty of water
    3. bring a bag lunch
    4. bring a compass
    5. bring money for participation fee $6
    6. bring money to rent a finger key $3 (one per group)
    7. bring a smile

I'll be arriving to the site early to help guide and locate our meeting spot. I'll be on my cellphone, which is 510.691.8357. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. See you there,

    Cliff.

I've caught the flu, so I won't be going.

    Hello OA family,
After completing my orienteering workshop, I've notice that there were a few OA's with solid black compasses. These compasses made it difficult for first time compass users to orient themselves with the map. I recommend using the clear compasses so you can see the map from underneath. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Cliff.

Afro's, there will be up hill and down hill conditions along the course. The beginner courses are usually along hike trails and roads.

    January 16, 2013

  • Cliff S.

This will be alot of fun. You may participate at your own pace. I'll group everyone according to your pace. I will create a workshop for those that are unfamiliar with using a compass with a map to orient yourself with nature.
