Walk Parker Preserve

This is a last minute replacement for the 2nd segment of the Batona Trail hike.  If road conditions to the Parker Preserve north gate is safe, I will lead a moderate paced walk of 6-10 miles. Distance and route will depend on walking conditions and participants ability. Dress properly for the weather. Snow events in the Pines can be dangerous, beautiful or both. Ice grips for shoes may be necessary. Please RSVP! Leader: Jay Schoss 908 (692)-5765   walkinginmud @ aol.com

If conditions are good enough for a longer walk we will have a brief lunch brake. If the going is tough I'll shorten the walk and eliminate lunch.

Is this the batons trail then or is this something different fortune time being?

No, there will be no section of the Batona on this walk. We'll be walking in a nature preserve adjacent to the Batona which has many broad sand roads which are much easier to walk in snow and ice.
