SOUTH WISSAHICKON VALLEY HIKE. 5 or 7 miles, moderate pace. Come explore historic Rittenhousetown and the Hermits Cave and say hi to ‘Billy Penn’. Rugged terrain. Sturdy shoes required.     fyi Park Safety Alert
    Forbidden Drive has suffered a major collapse at the Gorgas Lane Bridge crossing. Police, Parks and Recreation and PWD have closed the Drive at that location. FOW will post updates as more information becomes available.

    Directions to Henry and Walnut Parking
    Ben Franklin Bridge to I-676 West to I-76 West towards Valley Forge.... or Walt Whitman bridge to I-76 west STAY IN MIDDLE LANE! Proceed to Exit 340A (“Kelly Drive – Lincoln Drive”) Crossover short bridge – stay in right lane Take “Ridge Ave. – North” Exit. Proceed to 1st light, turn left onto Ridge Ave. Go 2 lights, Ridge Ave. bears right. Go 2 more lights and it bears left. Proceed to next light and turn right at Getty & Sunoco (Shurs/Walnut Lane). Proceed 2 lights and turn left onto Magdalena Street and make an immediate left into parking lot.
