RIDE CLASSIFICATIONS
CLASS A+ Crusing Speed: 22+ For very experienced and seasoned riders. No obligation to wait for stragglers or breakdowns as long as cue sheets or directions are provided. Be prepared for longer distances. Rotating pacelines likely.
CLASS A. Crusing Speed: 20 – 22 Similar to A+
CLASS B+ Crusing Speed: 18 – 20 For the above average rider. Should be capable of riding long distances with some stops. No obligation to wait for stragglers or breakdowns as long as cue sheets or directions are provided.
CLASS B. Crusing Speed: 16 – 18 Similar to B+
CLASS C+ Crusing Speed: 14 – 16 For the average rider. Rest stops about every 25 miles. No obligation to wait for stragglers or breakdowns as long as cue sheets or directions are provided.
CLASS C. Crusing Speed: 12 - 14 For the average rider. Shorter distances with frequent rest stops. The group will wait for stragglers and breakdowns. Cue sheets are not mandatory.
CLASS D. Crusing Speed: or less 12 or less For the SLOWER or SOCIAL rider. Frequent stops by leader or upon request of rider(s). Cue sheets are not mandatory.
CLASS HILL various various Includes climbs of 5-10% grade and shorter lengths
CLASS HILL + various various Includes climbs of 10-20% grade and longer lengths

The Outdoor Club of South Jersey is a not for profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for extending the individual's awareness, knowledge, appreciation, and enjoyment of the environment through experiences in outdoor activities. Including but limited to, Hiking, Biking, Boating, X-C skiing, camping, and backpacking. The Club is made up of people of all ages who are involved with the outdoors. All activities are led by volunteer members. The Club offers all members an opportunity to be a part of or to create their own outdoor experience or activity.
