Would anyone like to become the Event Host for this event? Send me an email. If there's no event host by Wed morning, I will cancel the event in order to avoid confusion.

Oh, no. Did everybody already buy tickets? I went online yesterday to try reserving and found that availability for all weekend dates are sold out through Sat, Feb 9. I've read elsewhere that if you don't have a reservation but arrive early and wait, you may get a ticket as a result of cancellations or no-shows, but I don't know how likely. The alternative would be to go separately on a weekday (which I currently have free) when there are still plenty of openings. Otherwise, I might try risking it anyway. At worst, the day will include a long but scenic drive, a trip to the visitor center, and I'll want to return.

Ooops! I didn't realize it was that popular :( I was gonna get tix this week dependant on weather...
Yikes! I didn't buy a ticket in time. Sorry I won't be able to join. Hope those of you who are going have a fabulous time!
Dang. Now I wish I hadn't said anything since I may have just effectively killed the event. I have read in each account by people who went without tickets that they got on a tour anyway. (The park probably anticipates a certain number showing without reservations.) Alternatively, perhaps those who are not "funemployed" like me can "play hookey" from work. (Yes, I am a bad influence.) I still want to go, but if I'm the only one, it makes little sense to go on a weekend (and an ineffective Meetup). Anyone still planning on attending? Bueller? (He took a day off and it went pretty well :)

Can't afford to play hookie (like... literally!) Totally bummed that I'm not doing this AGAIN!!! :( I'll try to put together another less RSVP 2 months in adavance shutterbug/nature/road trip thing soon :)
So. . . is the meetup still on? I'm confused. Maybe with just 5 people, there will be enough no shows that we'll get tickets. Also, should we figure out carpools? If we're all coming from the same area, it probably doesn't make sense for all of us to drive.
So just a heads up - we can't go see the seals without pre-purchasing a guided walk ($7/person), according to the website - there'll be ~ 3miles of hiking and rough weather - I know... its almost a month from now - but just want to keep people informed ;)
