FREE CONCERTS AND FIREWORKS AT LORTON WORKHOUSE ARTS CENTER

The Workhouse Arts Center will present two concerts starting at 7pm and then a patriotic fireworks show at 9pm!  Bring your 2-legged adult family members (that means no dogs, cats, young children, teens), adult friends, blankets, picnic basketS and lawn chairs and come listen to the music then watch as the colors light up the sky!

You can also see 360 Degrees of Post-Traumatic Stress a military art exhibition in the Vulcan Gallery which will remain open until 8:30pm.

The two free summer outdoor concerts in the Rizer Pavilion are: the Mount Vernon Nights Concert Series featuring Bluegrass band Frank Solivan and the Dirty Kitchen at 7pm and the City of Fairfax Band Swing Ensemble at 8pm, and last but not least, enjoy the Fireworks display at 9pm(dusk)!

You can also purchase food and snacks from the vendors that will be onsite: Uncle Fred's Smoke Shack, Kettle Corn Guy and Paradise Ice Cream. There will also be a variety of festival merchandise such as glow sticks for sale from vendors onsite.

For all other questions about the details of this activity go to the Lorton Workhouse website at www.workhousearts.org.  All I know is what I've included above.

Although I could not find the group when I got there, I enjoyed the art studios and fireworks.

Great viewing the Artists, listening to music and meeting members. The fireworks were fantastic! Bigger crowd than expected at the location overall. Thanks for organizing Karen.

Pretty good. Thanks for putting this on Meetup, Karen. I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

Is there helium in that pink balloon? I don't see it. My crew is in US flag lawn chairs away from the stage, not under the tent. Stop by and say Hi.

Karen - Do you know of any issues regarding parking. I checked the work house website and I didn't find any mention of parking

I will have my teenage boys with me, so I will probably 'check in' with the group and then sort of go off on our own.

I'm going to be there with my family anyway. I won't be able to sit with the group as I will have my kids, but I'm hoping to at least meet a few members. I haven't been able to do any activities since I joined a couple weeks ago thanks to kids' activities and such.

Cost? Any restrictions on chair sizes/heights? I'd have my 6-yr old grandson w/ me, if that'd be ok.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
