This is the 24th birthday for The Fredericksburg Wine Festival which is celebrating its move to the Poncho Villa Pavilion in Celebrate Virginia. Each year the festival is made up of the seven ownership wineries and four guest wineries which offer over 100 varieties of Virginia’s award winning wines for you to sample and purchase. The festival also offers a beer garden hosted by the All American Girls (50 % of all proceeds benefit the Frasier Mason Some Gave All Foundation) Your donation benefits soldiers from our area.
As you leisurely roam through the pavilion we offer staple food vendors and fun food concessionaires along with various artisans and crafters. Entertainment exists for all ages to include the barrel train, live music and more. You are more than welcome to purchase your bottle of wine, something to snack on and have a seat on a straw bale, your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the live entertainment.
$10 for designated drivers and $15 in advance/$20 at the door
This group is about exploring venues of pretty much any nature, whether it is an outdoor event, concert, movies, dining, museum, historical area (my favorite), winery, bowling-pretty much anything you might be interested in. So this is a mix of outdoor activities and social events. We would love to hear from the members about fun venues you have been to or would like to try. This is about getting out, making friends and having new experiences-maybe checking some of those items off your Bucket List-but most of all it's about having FUN!!! We laugh more than any group I've ever encountered. This group is open to all...single, married, divorced, separated, new to the area...as long as you want to be active, upbeat and young-minded and refuse to take turning 40, 50, or even 60 to 100 as bad news. So if you want to have fun with a truly great group of people, join us and start kickin it up!!!
We are a fun group and appreciate an upbeat attitude. Occasionally things don't go exactly as planned, but we still always have a great time, and everything works out. Remember that the organizers are VOLUNTEERS and work hard to plan and carry out activities for a number of people. So if you can be of help in any way, please step up and volunteer-even in small ways. And if you say you are coming, please either show up or change your RSVP to reflect that your plans have changed and you won't be joining us. That is just basic common courtesy.
Please be advised that we have one main requirement for membership. You must post a recognizable head shot for your main profile picture to participate. We need to be able to pick you out of a crowd from your picture on an RSVP list, which are small. No sunglasses or distance pictures and no additional friends or pets.
We look forward to meeting you and hope you have a lot of fun with our group.
