Mardi Gras Gala at Carnegie Library

Paris may be the City of Lights and New Orleans the City of Debauchery, but when it comes time for Carnivale this year, we're giving the rest of the world a run for its money with the first ever LivingSocial Mardi Gras Masquerade Gala in Partnership with Events DC.

On Saturday, February 16, LivingSocial is taking over and completely transforming the historic Carnegie Library at Mt. Vernon Square from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. for this soirée to celebrate the Mardi Gras season. Dress in your sexiest formal wear -- fancy mask and cape are highly recommended -- and be prepared for an evening filled with the flavors, sights, and sounds of New Orleans done DC style. Delight in an all-you-can-eat cajun buffet as you check out performers from Trapeze School of New York - Washington, DC. Enjoy an open wine and beer bar, where you can also indulge in a specialty Bacardi cocktail (all other drinks are available for cash), and visit the special Bacardi Airplane Bar for a unique rum-tasting experience.

DJ EPX will be spinning tunes all night as you dance your way from room to room and at 10 p.m. Out of Town Blues Band takes the stage for a show that lasts until 2 a.m. And should you choose the VIP experience, you'll have access to your own room with a buffet and private bar... We did mention it's a good idea to wear masks, right?

This is a Living Social deal. Tickets are $99 or $149 for the VIP deal. You will get your tickets through them: https://www.livingsocial.com/events/580122-mardi-gras-gala-in-partnership-with-events-dc
