Our meet-up group is organized by volunteers who have experience with mental illness. We are not a support group -- our focus is on organizing social activities that will get our group members out of the house and into the world to socialize and get to know other people. There's comfort in being around others that understand your struggles. Our social activities include coffee, dinner, movies, etc. We typically organize 2-3 events per month, usually somewhere central in the city or surrounding suburbs. Most of our meet-ups are on a weekend, though we do have the occasional mid-week meet-up.
