Escapees – Enjoy A Free Festive Steps Walk with mulled wine & mince pies

Oxford Escapes – Enjoy our Free Festive Steps Walk

Are you seeking a short but pleasant Escape walk before the hectic hustle and bustle of Christmas? Then do join us on this 6  mile walk where along the way we will enjoy complimentary hot mulled wine and mince pies accompanied by bucket loads of bracing, fresh country air.

The walk starts at 10:30am on Sunday 22nd December from Windsor & Eton Riverside Station and we will meet in front of the station. Minibus travel from Oxford Station available at 9:30am Charge £10.

Riverside meadows, the playing fields of the famous Eton School favoured by royalty and views of Windsor Castle are the enticing ingredients of this flat and easy walk. Towards the end there is a particularly memorable view of Windsor Castle rising majestically above the opposite bank of the Thames. We will have ample time to explore and enjoy the many historic attractions of Windsor and of course its Christmas lights during this wonderful festive season.

During the walk we will enjoy our mince pies and hot mulled wine and after our walk you will have an opportunity to enjoy refreshments prior to returning to London or Oxford.

I look forward to seeing you on our Festive Steps walk.

This is a free day walk but please note in common with most Meetup groups from 2014 we will be making a small charge of £4 per walk. However that will help us to introduce more walk leaders and put on many more walks and continue our policy of adding little extras such as really fabulous homemade cakes!

Our Escape day outs are dedicated to get you to places new for discovery and exploration, places that touch the senses – do join us today if you can.

I'm out late tonight, you've got transport problems, and the weathers not too encouraging, I'm going to cancel. Hopefully I'll get to come along on one of your other walks.
