Oxford Escapes aims to be Oxford’s and Bucks most friendliest and relaxed walking and hiking group, delivering walks suitable for both experienced walkers and those new to walking in groups. Join Oxford escapes to discover, explore and do more.
We deliver dynamic and fun walks, tours and holidays around Oxford, throughout the UK and at times further afield.
Oxford is a wonderful town, but it is always enjoyable to escape from time to time, and if you live in Oxford, High Wycombe, Aylesbury or elsewhere in Bucks/oxfordshire we aim to make it easy for you to enjoy the great outdoors.
I have been a volunteer organiser and leader for university student and staff outdoor clubs and I am determined to keep true to the ethos of encouraging participation, friendship and community in the activities we deliver. Our activities will include day walks, weekend breaks, active tours and holidays.

About Our Trips
Our group focuses on delivering a range of activities including:
Creative Walks – Mid range walks where we visit iconic and artistic countryside sites.
Adventure Walks – Taking you to the best hills, mountains and coastlines in the UK.
Active Tours –Shorter walks combining; special places, people, history and culture.

About our Members
The group is a mixture of people who are new to the Oxford and Bucks area, and locals who would like to make new friends and connections and escape into the countyside on walks, tours and adventures. As group organiser, I aim to make the group more than just a series of events - it's a club of loyal members and friends with a great community spirit.
Members are welcoming and friendly to each other, give positive constructive feedback, and are encouraged to actively contribute to the group.
Break out of routine, watch the landscape change from urban grey to leafy green… before you know it the growl of traffic is a distant hum and tweeting is real birdsong!
