Oxford Internet Professionals : Members seeking help

From: Rob J.

Hey everyone,

Looking forward to meeting you all tonight at the next Oxford Internet Professionals meetup - don't forget it's 7.30pm upstairs at Copa on George Street, Oxford. [http://www.meetup.com/Oxford-Internet-Professionals/venue/?eventId=9770015&popup=true&venueId=466050]

Now a couple of members are seeking some help so please have a read below and when you meet Jo & Sam tonight you may just be able to assist them! Ok let's make a start...

// Jo asks:
I'm mailing about my app at http://bookwhen.com It's still got a few holes and I'm really very interested in some feedback and first real users. Also I need to think about how to market this so any thoughts and guidance would be would be great...

// Sam asks:
I am setting up a small product offering as a trial. It is a new weight loss concept for women aged over 45, who want to lose weight through exercise and understanding nutrition. The product is a one week residential giving customers the ability to make a step change, and continue the change when they are back at home.

One of the biggest challenges is finding the customers. I intend to do this through creating a blog (in process) and consequently becoming the leader of a tribe interested in health, fitness and weight loss. I can then promote my product to this group.

I intend to drive traffic to the blog through my facebook profile and targetting other facebook groups with similar interest. I will also try to bring people on board through commenting on relevant blogs and leaving a 'trail' of my blogs URL on these sites.

Are there any other ways I can optimise the web/my blog to stimulate interest and develop a base of customers to sell into? Any ideas welcome!

So plenty to think about there - both Jo & Sam will be at the meeting tonight and would really benefit from our help. I for one have a few ideas on how they both can make progress, but your input would be warmly welcome too...

Looking forward to tonights meeting... If you're stuck or lost and need to contact me email [address removed] or phone[masked]

Rob.
