Ok here's an update on the Summer BBQ/party I've been wanting to arrange for us all. I now have two dates pencilled in, and am provisionally aiming for 9th September so hold that date
I've been in talks with Malmaison in Oxford who will offer us their beautiful "Exercise yard" weather permitting, or if rain looks likely they're happy to host us in the equally impressive "Visitors room"!
I'm exploring getting a speaker or two as I this could really add extra punch to the evening - any suggestions would be welcome of course!
And finally I'm going to be looking for sponsors. In exchange for contributing towards the event costs Sponsors would have the opportunity to engage with everyone on the night and be heavily promoted before, during and afterwards. I'm in talks about a couple of options but if you're interested in promoting your business, product or service please get in touch soon before you miss out.
If everything comes together in time I'll be hoping to launch earlybird tickets at our next OIP meeting on August 12th! If you've not yet confirmed your intention to come to that meeting please do visit and update your RSVP at http://www.meetup.com/Oxford-Internet-Professionals/calendar/10832094/Steve Lew requires your help
Steve says: Could someone help me with problem-shooting with Drupal? ?I've got a simple Drupal site and for the life of me I can't seem to get the bl**** pics to display. ?I thought it was meant to be a fairly straightforward CMS, but apparently not when it comes to the pics etc. ?It's been something of a nightmare!! ?I'd be really grateful if you could advise me on this. ?Cheers!
