Katherine T Owen on How to be spiritual in a disinterested world

There are times on the spiritual path when we can feel special or different from those who don’t share our beliefs. We may encounter disinterest, opposition or simply feel a greater sense of separation from those who believe differently.

A Course in Miracles emphasises that we are all One, and we are always meeting ourselves.

How can we own any conflict with another as a projection of a conflict within ourselves? What is this conflict anyway? If we unite the questioning mind with our spiritual conviction can we lessen our need to defend our spiritual beliefs to others?

The talk includes readings from Katherine T Owen’s upcoming book It's OK to Believe, along with a guided meditation to find greater peace with someone from the present or the past who seems to oppose your beliefs.

Katherine T Owen lived bed-bound for 14 years with severe ME/CFS. With little speech or movement and with inadequate care, life was a constant fight to stay alive. Frightened and angry, Katherine understood that to find the strength to continue she needed to find peace within herself. She developed a simple yet powerful forgiveness exercise and invites you to download a free e-book from www.a-spiritual-journey-of-healing.com. She is author of It's OK to Believe available at http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/its-ok-to-believe/12383171

Turns out I won't have a car on Wed. Is anybody able to give me a lift from Abingdon/Abingdon Road? Otherwise it's a bit of a mega journey for me.
