MEET OUTSIDE THE SWAN AND CASTLE PUB (WEATHERSPOONS) OPPOSITE WESTGATE CENTRE AT 6.45PM - have a drink first then go in...Macbeth at Oxford Castle - Unlocked

Tomahawk Theatre returns to the Castle for the 4th year running to tell Shakespeare’s story of ambition, power, love, loyalty and betrayal. Set against the magnificent Castle backdrop, Macbeth will be a dynamic, action packed 2 hours, including an interval and feature battle scenes, music, dance and song.

*******Wet Weather Policy********
In the event of an outdoor performance being cancelled or abandoned due to bad weather the show will be moved indoors to the New Baptist Church on Bonn Square, 2 mins walk from the Castle in the city centre. This pleasant space has been used by Creation Theatre in the past for their production of Othello. Patrons should arrive at the Castle as usual, from where they will be escorted to the church. Priority to will be given to any pre-paid group bookings.

It was a good show, but I was surprised that it was not the original Macbeth. No hint anywhere (except in the programme after arrival) that this was a modern "version" of the play...

A last-minute offer: I booked two tickets to a show in London for tomorrow July 4 (2:15 show) and I cannot attend due to a scheduling conflict. The show is Pride and Prejudice at the Regents Open Air Theater. Paid 90 pounds for both tickets, willing to part with them for a lot less. I'd hate for them to go to waste.Email/post if interested.

Hi, I am new to the group and wondered if this would be the best event to come along to? I don't know anyone!

    May 30, 2013

    • Derek

Hi Victoria, the mid-month pub nights are probably the best introduction to the group and to meet some of the people going to this event.

      May 30, 2013
