Local naturist club Oxnat is hosting a naturist swimming session for one hour this evening which is open to non-members of their club.
If you have nothing on this evening , come and join us.
Oxnat ask that you bring ID with you on the night which you will need to show at the door along with an invitation which we will send to your home address.
Please do not add your home address here - we will contact you directly.
So, you’re interested in our open swim – congratulations! You are about to come to one of the many naturist clubs in the UK and meet some of the friendliest people around. In fact we know you’ll love our club and, who knows, trying naturism may just change your life!
If you’re new to naturism, we’re sure you will have a few questions and we’ll try to answer some of them here. You may also want to check out the FAQs on the British Naturism website at http://bn.org.uk/articles.php/_/information/about-naturism/what-is-naturism-r18?pg=4
What is Oxnat?
Sited in 11 arces of beautiful and secluded woodlands, with a clubhouse and sauna Oxnat (Oxford Naturist Club) was founded in 1979. We are a family-friendly club and practice social nudity in a safe and welcoming environment. Check out the range of facilities on offer at www.oxnat.org.uk
Will I have to undress?
Well, it is a naturist club!
But I’m too fat/thin/ugly/old to go naked!
No you aren’t! Bodies come in all shapes and sizes and, believe us; you aren’t any different to anyone else. Nobody will bat an eyelid and you will feel immediately at home among like-minded people.
But I’ve got a scar/stretch marks!
Those just show part of the story of your life. We all have various scars and blemishes and nobody will care – they probably won’t even notice. As naturists we look beyond what people look like.
Will I see naked people?
Well, yes, you will. Just look them in the eye and talk to them like you would if they were clothed. You’ll soon forget that everyone is naked.
Will I have to get undressed at the gate?
No – that’s just an urban myth! We have a changing room for you to leave your clothes in.
Isn’t naturism just a cover for naughty goings on?
Err, no! Social nudity is an entirely non-sexual experience and is not in the least erotic. Our club is a family-orientated environment and any inappropriate behaviour is as unacceptable here as it would be anywhere else.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself in the main! You will need a towel to sit on (naturists always sit on a towel for hygiene reasons), perhaps some flip flops and your shower gel! You can leave your swimming costume at home however – we think they are the most unnecessary items of clothing ever invented!
What about the children?
Children take to naturism more easily than anyone. At Oxnat we pride ourselves on providing a safe and family-friendly environment, splashing in the pool they’ll feel completely at home. Our child-safeguarding rules do not permit you to bring any child other than your own without written parental consent, so you will need to speak to the club to arrange this.
What if I meet someone I know?
Well even if you bump into a colleague or your neighbour, it just shows you’ve got more in common than you realised! Also, naturists have an etiquette that privacy is respected so you aren’t likely to find it all round the office!
Do you just swim?
Afterwards many of us chat in the lounge for a while or go to a local pub for a drink and a natter.
Hopefully this answers your questions, but if there is anything else you want to know either ask the person who has invited you or email [masked] or call 07941 435021.
We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the wonderful and the liberating world of naturism!
