*****PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A MEET UP EVENT BUT TIPS AND GUIDANCE ON USING MEET UP.*******
If you need any further help please come along to pub social night on the 18th September.
PLEASE READ THE GUIDANCE I HAVE SET OUT BELOW.
Some of you have mentioned you don't receive email alerts when a new meet up is announced, here's how to check if your email address and settings are correct. I would have sent this as an email but obviously some people won't receive it. I hope this helps everyone and look forward to seeing you soon :-)
When you sign in at the top right hand side of the page there are headers IN BLUE called My groups, Account , Log out.
Click on the drop down triangle Account button , click on the 'General' button and your details will come up.
The third line down is Email address, this is the email address the announcements will be sent to- there is an edit button you can click on and change your email address if it's incorrect ie typo error or you would like your emails to be sent to a different email account. Enter your email address, your meet up password and press submit.
Next - go back to the Account button and click on the Email Notification button. Click on the email notifications name with the pencil in the box icon for our group...you will now see...
'Send me updates about' in bold
You do want to be notified when a new meet up is announced and any changes so please tick the 1st, 2nd and 4th tick boxes.
Next Section - how often do you want to receive reminders? My personal choice is to tick the middle one.
Scroll down and tick yes for Organiser broadcasts.
The other tick boxes are up to you if you want to be included.
It is also your responsibility to regularly check your emails for any event you have signed up for as the event host may need details from you i.e pre order lunch / car share etc and check the event on the meet up in case there are other changes/comments too that haven't been emailed.
If i have gone wrong anywhere please let me know and if you have any problems still accessing your emails please contact Derek.
