So what to do next....
Visit the 80's Rewind Festival website and check out what went on. You can also see quite a bit of the action on YouTube as well as picture from our gallery from previous years!!!

Tickets

NOTE: Some ticket categories have already SOLD OUT

You buy your own ticket(s) from the Festival Tickets link . Please update your RSVP if you think you'd like to go and then update the RSVP comment to indicate when you've bought your ticket.

The Day pass tickets for Saturday usually sell out first so if you only want to come for the one day, best get in fast. However, nearly all the tickets sold out ahead of the festival so if you want to go, get in as soon as you can.

For the majority of us that will be going for the entire weekend (the Weekend Camping pass @ £115), we strongly recommend booking off the Friday and Monday from work!.

What's Next

Nearer the time we'll work out how many tents/sizes we all have between us and how many we actually need, what camping things we can share to save on lugging to and from the car park, and other logistics things like meet-up times and contact numbers.

Look forward to seeing you all there!

UPDATE 12th AUGUST - THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

So we're on the final few days to the last Henley Rewind on its current site.

Camper's  - we are meeting up for our convoy into Henley and we're meeting outside the H Cafe, Oxford Road, Berinsfield, OX10 7LY - coming from Oxford this is a little turn right and then left at the Berinsfield roundabout where the A4074 joins the A415. Once on the  service road in front of the row of shops, please do a little u-turn so we're all facing the roundabout again ready for going out again onto the A4074.

Because we're a large group and the huge queue ahead of us we found last time, we're going to have to leave Berinsfield at 10:30 so please be there by 10:15. Hopefully no one else has the same idea of meeting at the same place (watch out for bikers!).

Once we're at the camp site, we'll get in the queue with all the tents and make a land grab rush when the camp site gates open at 2PM (allegedly)! to a similar area as we went last year. With so many large tents going up, we may end up with a number of small circles interconnected.

We'll have some Pimms when we've all set-up at the end but bring some drinks to have in the queue whilst we wait - bucks fizz is good!. I'll bring some ice creams too if I remember!.

Weather forecast is showery for Friday so please bring those umbrellas, wellies (in case) and black rubbish bags to keep things dry - see check-list below.

In previous years we've done a big group fry up in the mornings but this time I'm proposing those that want to bring their own, and for others, there is onsite catering breakfast area which will have a large range to choose from. As always I will bring plenty of milk, tea and coffee for all our brew ups. There will be a cool box available for Food only - no drinks!

CAMPERS CHECKLIST

  • Umbrella
  • Wellies or water proof boots.
  • Money (there may be onsite cash machines but don't rely on it, plenty of pound coins if you can!)
  • Waterproof cagoule or similar
  • Black bin bags (to cover chairs and other items)
  • Suncream and a hat (here's hoping!)
  • Small bottles of hand sanitizer gel
  • Torch or headlamp (not off a car!)
  • Fold up chair
  • Mug (for tea / coffee in the mornings/nights)
  • Bedding or sleeping bags in good waterproof boxes or bags
  • Earplugs - Friday and Saturday will be very noisy!
  • NO GLASS OF ANY KIND - YOU WILL BE FRISKED!
  • YOUR TICKETS

I've been saying this for a while, best it's plan to limit the "heavy" stuff to 2 trips to/from the car park as all the gaps in between tents will become filled and cut off very quickly to trolleys and carts.

DAY TICKET HOLDERS

If we don't already have your chairs, we'll try and take in one of our spare chairs for you into the arena. If you can get your chair to the Wednesday Pub we'll take them in for you.

Make a note of the group mobile [masked] text us / phone us when you arrive in the car park and we'll give you instructions of how to find us. There are usually flags along the sides of the arena so we use these as markers.

Another humongous thumbs up from me. Brilliant company, great to meet all the new (at least to me) people and hope to see you all again soon. Big thanks to Derek for organising everything including the improved weather, in fact you did such a great job, I nominate you for doing it all again next year....

    August 20, 2013

  • Beth E.

Absolutely brilliant time yet again; Great bunch of campers/day trippers made it all worthwhile, bands/artists were fab, including the unscheduled visit of Dr and the Medics on the Friday night. Weather was OK to very good and we were the lucky ones (by the sound of it, they stopped 5 tents away from our circle) not to be looted by unscrupulous thieves.

    August 20, 2013

  • Derek

Another great weekend, totally pooped, but all worth it. Had a lot of laughs and entertainment and all the cunning plans seemed to work apart from leaving the car park!. Oh well. Thanks to everyone's generosity, patience and good spirit. Cheers!

Hi. Just wanted to thank EVERYONE who was at REWIND last weekend. You were all fantastic to take me (a complete stranger) under your wing. Your hospitality was amazing and obviously I would not have stayed Sat/Sun if it had not been for you. Thank you for letting me experience my 1st festival. Alison x

Just wanted to say that I had one of the best times with you guys. I love the friendliness and humour of the group and I felt very welcomed. Think I will get a better bed for next year as mine was the cause of lack of sleep. I would recommend the silent disco and I'm preparing a fitness regime to get me through the two hour endurance event. Well done OSW and particularly to Derek and Beth

Any chance someone can reserve spaces for two tents, mines a small 2 man and there's a 4 man?

It would be greatly appreciated as we like to be with you guys?

    My mobile is[masked]

    August 15, 2013

    • Derek

Hi Russell, it may be a push to reserve space, but as you'll see, the site fills up very quickly. We'll try and be creative but cant make any promises, but if neccessary, pitch where can then come over and visit as we should have our yellow flag up.

      August 15, 2013
