Introduction
I am actively involved in many projects and social activities locally but the main emphasis of why I wanted to create this group is to permit local singles to widen their social horizons without the claptrap of dating sites and speed dating events.
For PR purposes, where or how did you hear about this group? If google search, any specific details?
This group is a singles events calendar and anyone can post and invite everyone to events scheduled here. I started this group as I was frustrated with how backwards it can be dating & thought why not simplify things. However, our events are open to everyone and thus, I hope we'll now attract more women too!
What kind of events, would you most like to attend?
Music and dance plus social events where I can converse and get to know people without too much noise. I am keen to find company to enjoy doing things like rambling, meals out, sightseeing in the region, cycling the local area. I am however generally only free week days or in the evenings on the weekends.
NB Some events are free and all events except Saturday Pub Tour are not-for-profit. Please note after attending events to get to know what we do, please note an annual membership fee of £3 will be requested to meet our running costs.
Yes. I often attend jazz and acoustic music gigs and watch films or go for a walk & meal. However, why not combine such social interests with chit chat time before or after these activities.

Hi Alisdair thanks for your message.Yes I am really interested in french speaking meetup groups and have relatives in Oxford and I went to the Uni. I am especially keen to take part in french conversation groups where I could also bring my 10 year old son as he is currently a near english french bilingual as we spent 4 years in France and I am very keen that he does not forget his french. Do you think I could bring him to any conversation meetups? Best wishes Amelia

I have lots to learn from the 'commute on buses' culture. There are so many rules to follow whilst one takes a bus.
