Elder Stubbs Festival 2012

Entry £1.50, Kids go FREE

This is an annual event held at the Elder Stubbs Allotments in Cowley.

The allotments are run by the Restore charity that provides support for people with mental health problems.

Every year they open their gates to the public for the day, with live music, stalls run by local charities and other organisations, food and drink, vegetables and other produce for sale, and above all the chance to wander round this peaceful green "oasis" in the middle of Cowley.

I am not sure I will be able to attend myself, as I have something else on until early afternoon, but if anyone else wants to organise a group meeting up time to visit the festival together, please feel free. If not, you may like to visit individually, as I'm sure you would enjoy it :)

There are further details on the Restore website.

I always enjoy this local festival. I didn't see anyone else in the forage group (I didn't join in but had slow wonder round). I did bump into Sam later on.

Hi everyone, I'd love to go on the forage and then visit the festival afterwards! Can I just check - is the plan to meet at the Rymer's Lane entrance to the allotment by the shop at 12.15? Never been there before but will hopefully find it! Look forward to meeting you all tomorrow!

Hum something's mucked up the layout.....

Just looking at Chris's link - he's going to do the forage to 12:15 - no meeting point mentioned.

The main entrance is Rymer's lane - the one nearest thier shop\workshop. I suggest meeting just by the shop. What does everyone want to, what time would you like to meet - go on a forage or just have a wonder round?

Hello.I just changed my RSVP to no as I am still unsure whether I can make it on saturday and if I do I would quite like to take part in Chris' foraging walk. So, if Sonia is still Ok to organise a meeting up time and place for anyone else who wants to come along, please can we take you up on your offer? Thanks Jane

I've added the location (the poster says Rymers Lane, not Cricket Road, though clearly there are two allotment sites close together), a photo and a link to Chris' Meetup.
