The Last Letter from Your Lover.....for July!

Back in Feb we enjoyed "Me Before You" by Jo Jo Moyes, so for July let's read another nomination writing by the same author:  The Last Letter from Your Lover.....

Posting this well in advance, as it is a little longer than our general monthly selection, please plan accordingly.

Hopefully the weather is reasonable so we can enjoy their outdoor terrace.

A reminder about RSVP'ing. Please be considerate to others and don't hold a spot if you are not sure about attending, as changing to a no last minute does not allow people on the waiting list enough time to read the book. As always, I understand on occasion things come up that do not allow you to attend, but please change your RSVP no later than noon on the day of the event so I can give the restaurant an accurate head count.

Unfortunately we have had some events where members pulled out last minute or did not show, this is not only discurtious but causes problems for the group/restaurant. Members that routinely are a "No Show" or "Cancel last minute" will be removed from the group.

The  Last Letter from Your Lover - Jo Jo Moyes 667 Pages (Amazon star rating: 4.3)A heartbreaking, stay-up-all-night novel from the New York Times bestselling author of Me Before You and One Plus One

A Brief Encounter for our time, The Last Letter from Your Lover is a sophisticated, spellbinding double love story that spans decades and thrillingly evokes a bygone era. In 1960, Jennifer Stirling wakes in the hospital and remembers nothing—not the car accident that put her there, not her wealthy husband, not even her own name. Searching for clues, she finds an impassioned letter, signed simply "B," from a man for whom she seemed willing to risk everything. In 2003, journalist Ellie Haworth stumbles upon the letter and becomes obsessed with learning the unknown lovers’ fate—hoping it will inspire her own happy ending. Remarkably moving, this is a novel for romantics of every age.

I expected to find people whose opinions on this book differed from mine and I wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed hearing other points of view and was sorry I had to leave early.

Loved the book! Wish I could be there, but we have family plans.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
