Reference the below conversations on napping and meditation... I like to nap! I try to take a nap everyday in mid-afternoon. The nap usually only lasts about 30 minutes. When I wake up I feel refreshed and ready to enjoy the rest of the day. I meditate everyday! My intention for meditation is prayer or conscious connection to the source of all creation. Life without a nap makes life less enjoyable. Life without meditation (prayer) makes life far less enjoyable. There is a huge difference in how I feel during my day if I do not meditate as compared to not napping. Both are refreshing, however, meditation makes me feel much more restful and at peace. Life is good! I thoroughly enjoyed this month's meeting and am looking forward to out next meet-up...

John's statement that the EEG for meditators is the same as resting or napping with the seeming implication that meditation is a pointless waste of time when a nap will be just as good. Research seems to indicate otherwise even though some hard core materialists disagree, as would be expected.

I think they didn't mention napping, as you did, because they see no connection. Did I mishear you say that there's no difference between napping and meditation?

    Aloha,

As usual, the gathering was lively and with intriguingly animated conversations. A blend of contemplative and Spiritual, as well as lively banter with moments of levity and fun. Mahalo Jillene for getting us all together. See ya in May.

This was my first meeting with this group. There were 3 new people. I felt welcomed to the group.

This will be my first meeting with this group. Could someone tell me what to expect? What should I do to prepare for this?
