I've been informed by my supervisor at the library that in order to continue our meet-ups I need an official volunteer to help with the set-up, take-down, and crowd control during the event.
If anyone is interested in volunteering for this position you'll need to fill out some paperwork and get fingerprinted (the city will arrange it).
It looks like we may have to move the meet-up to Friday evenings because of staffing and scheduling issues. We'll at least be trying out Friday evening in November to see if we get a similar turnout. It will be a 5pm-10pm timeslot. I hope this works for your schedules. That's obviously dinnertime so I'll provide the same types of refreshments as before, but perhaps we could pitch in and order pizzas.
Feel free to e-mail me with your ideas or comments about the meet-up. I'm hoping we can continue this great event at the library.
