Welcome PDX Metropolitans!

We are a new social group for friendship, networking, adventure and dining in the PDX metro area! Our emphasis is on cultural, active, innovative experiences. Our Meetups span indoor and outdoor activities, as well as daytime and nighttime events. We are not designed to be a singles group though I think both singles and couples would feel equally at home :) We also are not full time organizers but will do our best to post at least a few events per month.

Among other activities, we will be visiting new and interesting restaurants. I thought it might be fun if we published our group's restaurant reviews at sites such as citysearch.portland.com and urbanspoon.com. From luxe gourmet to homey comfort food, we want to try it all! We'll schedule a few walks in some of our beautiful city parks to walk it off :)

We will also be giving back to the community by hosting periodic benefits for local animal welfare and food bank charities.

Let's socialize and energize through shared interests and new experiences while exploring the City of Roses! :) I also want to encourage everyone to use the message board when you hear of interesting events! Your post might help a member get out for something fun they hadn't heard about. Meetup's message boards are underutilized and are a great alternative to long email threads :)
