Composer: Dependency Management for PHP

First off, I really apologize for cancelling the last meeting.  I understand that many will not be able to attend due to it being so close to Thanksgiving, and I apologize.  If the turnout looks to be too low, I'll probably reschedule this talk for after the new year (as my wife is having a baby soon).  I'll then pass the baton to one of the other organizers to setup the next meeting.

Thanks to New Relic for providing the location, beer and pizza.

The meeting will start off with a few minutes of socializing, followed by a talk by John Kelly from ADP on Composer - Dependency Management for PHP.  If you're not using composer, or are just using composer to pull in packages from packagist.org, this talk is for you.  It will cover basic usage of composer as well as more advanced use and how to use composer in an enterprise environment with private/proprietary packages.

Yes, I would definitely like to attend this if given again, after the Holidays would be the best.

Does anyone have any dietary restrictions? We are ordering pizza and getting beer/beverages so if you need vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, etc, please let me know!

To confirm, this rescheduled event is at Lucky Labrador Beer Hall (1945 Northwest Quimby Street, Portland, OR 97209), despite the New Relic address that appears up top, correct?

    November 22, 2013

    • John K.

No, we moved it back to New Relic. They were able to fit us in. The information on the site is correct. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm anxious to hear this talk, but also I'm looking for a resource for an upcoming project. A client wants to convert an ASP/MSSQL project to PHP/MySQL. Hoping to find someone at this meeting.
