Marine Park Boat Launch (located at Ryan Point) is within a 26-acre community park along the Columbia River with a nice sandy beach, picnic tables, ball field, hiking trails, restrooms, and two boat ramps. The park is located along Vancouver's 5 mile Waterfront Renaissance Trail. Parking is $5 per vehicle and there are no boat launch fees. My boat can pull waterskiers and tubers, and I will update if more boat captains arrive with additional watercraft. The sandy beach is a good staging place to kick back and catch some rays. This is a historic area, for back in 1942 it supported the Kaiser Shipyards, which produced our "Victory Ships" during World War II. The concrete ways and structures of the shipyard are still present, and there is a high tower dedicated to the story of the Kaiser Shipyards to climb.
Remember that we are on the Washington side of the Columbia River. On the map, you can see when you head east on Columbia Way that it leads to Marine Park. Then continue to the end of SE Marine Park Way, where you can park at the boat ramp, which will be our meeting place. Bring something to eat and drink, as well as a donation to assist your boat captain for fuel expenses.
