Founded
January 21, 2004

The group meets at the Old Wive's Tales Restaurant in a back room set up for us. Books and views are diverse. It is always a great time to meet new people and to simply get to 'see' Portland in its finest.

If you would like to learn about previous books read by this group, go to the Files Section on your left, and check out the full Excel Document on past books.

The real enjoyment in the group is being able to sit around a few tables to chat about the books we have read together and learn the incredible truth of differing and diverse opinions. If you don't have a chance to read the book, you are still welcome. Many of our discussions help others decide on whether they want to read a book or not.

If our meeting is full, please eMail me, the organizer, to be added to the Wait List. As soon as a slot opens, you will be informed about having the option to attend.

Join us for what is usually a pleasant and laughable time.

The Group is currently closed to New Members. We have had during the months of January through the Beginning of March more than 30 new requests. We are going to hold off on any new requests until after the April Meeting. Please check with us in May.

Amazing Chatter, People Scatter, Thoughts align, and minds unwind..

This is the yearly Book Swap, Share and Chat.

During this meeting we take the time to just share with each other books we have enjoyed and ones we'd like others to enjoy. You may bring up to 2 books that are to be shared. You may pass around the books and even swap them for other books if you would like. Read more

What members are saying

It's great to meet so many smart, friendly book-lovers. Many members are waayyyy better readers than I and I'm learning a lot from them. Thanks.

Tracey

The group was welcoming, intelligent, talkative, respectful (but willing to disagree) - all the qualities one wants in a book group.
