I haven't had time to put together any more labs, so let's play with personal projects this time.

We need a venue again, TenFourAgency worked great last time.

Chris and Cory stuck around and helped me finally get a servo twitching off my arduino. That was all I was hoping for!

We had a good group of very interested folks show up and we went through a variety of experiments with servos.

Sorry folks, apparently Google Maps is sending people to SE[masked]nd. We are just getting started so please come on up if you can. We are in Cascade Station (Near the airport). The building is at the first one on the SW end of the building complex.

In case you are having trouble finding the building, it is in Cascade Station, the shopping center with the Ikea. Our office is on the third floor.

This week we will be playing with stepper motors. Cory has a couple extra but if you have one bring it, your arduino board, assorted resistors capacitors, wire, breadboards etc. We have lots of components to share, so at a minimum you need a board and a laptop.

I will be hosting this Saturday's Meetup at my company's offices out by the airport. I will have a short demo lab to work on using servos, and then we will open it up for personal projects.

Picked up a scanner, digital camera, and cordless drill at goodwill for cheap. Hacked into em for parts. I need to stock up on sensors and experiment with feedback control and switching power supplies. Piggybacked L293s on the motor shield get pretty hot just running a 5v stepper.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
