What games do you normally play?

All types. Favorites include historically-themed games, war games, euros. Game related buzzwords that generally increase my interest: GMT, COIN series, Sierra Madre games, Lacerda, Wallace, Colovini, Chudyk, Knizia, Civilization.

What games are you dying to play that you do not currently own?

I love multiplayer wargames. I'm always open to trying new ones.

How much time do you normally invest in a single session of a game?

As long as it takes. I'll play quick fillers and day-long ventures. If it can hold my interest and I have the time available, length of a single game is not an issue.

Which PDX locations do you prefer when it comes to playing lengthy games?

Cloud Cap, Lucky Lab, Guardian, people's houses.

Introduction

I love games of all types, but my favorites include meaty euros and wargames.

What Stephen is saying about this Meetup Group

Good times. I've been to two meet-ups as of this review and love it. I plan on going to as many as my schedule allows. The EG Historical Society wing of the group is fantastic. There are tons of great historically themed games out there that can be hard to get to the table. This group remedies that. The games can be loosely historically-themed such as 7 wonders or Tigris and Euphrates, or more integrated into the game-play. We played Founding Fathers which was a blast (who knew writing the Constitution could be so cut-throat and fun!)
